Project Description

The Brisa Villa at Dubai Hills represents a sophisticated integration of minimalist design with high-end luxury finishes. Situated within the verdant surroundings of Dubai Hills, the villa serves as a tranquil retreat from urban life. Its interiors are thoughtfully designed to foster a serene and calming environment, promoting relaxation and comfort.

Project / Client’s Brief

The client requested a contemporary and luxurious design that embodies modern elegance. The brief emphasized the need for a seamless blend between indoor and outdoor spaces, ensuring that natural light plays a central role in the overall aesthetic. Additionally, the client sought to incorporate natural materials, particularly stones and exotic marbles, combined with bespoke furnishings that reflect a sophisticated yet understated luxury.

Concept

The villa’s design is centered around an open-plan living area that merges the interior with the exterior. This is achieved through the extensive use of large windows and sliding doors that maximize natural light and provide unobstructed views of the surrounding landscape. The interior spaces are furnished with pieces that are both comfortable and elegant, supporting the villa's function as a space for both relaxation and social interaction.

The design palette is deliberately neutral, employing soft tones to create a calm and cohesive atmosphere. Natural stones and exotic marble are utilized throughout, adding subtle touches of luxury without overwhelming the minimalist intent.

About the Execution

The project’s execution began with the precise design of all joinery elements, including cabinetry and built-in furniture. These elements were custom-manufactured by specialized artisans, with a strong emphasis on precision and fit. Following fabrication, a team conducted on-site measurements to ensure that each piece integrated seamlessly into its designated space. The installation process was carried out diligently to uphold the design integrity and quality.

The first-floor layout was reorganized to incorporate a master walk-in wardrobe and included a pantry in the master bedroom. Additionally, the ground floor guest room was adapted so that it could function as an office or be easily converted into a bedroom later, thanks to clever joinery design. Working with the existing developer bathrooms and kitchens, we elevated these spaces by designing the surrounding elements to enhance their appearance.

About the Ambience

The villa’s ambience is defined by clean lines and a refined color palette, strongly emphasising natural materials. The use of exotic marble for flooring and walls introduces an element of opulence, while the minimalist design approach ensures that attention remains on the intrinsic beauty of these materials.

The open-plan layout extends to an expansive entrance lobby with views of a nearby lake, enhancing the villa’s connection to its natural surroundings. The adjacent dining area features a minimalist table capable of seating eight, paired with high-quality upholstered chairs that complement the overall aesthetic. The bedroom suites are designed as private retreats, with the master suite offering a king-size bed, walk-in closet, and an en-suite bathroom outfitted with premium fixtures and finishes. The other bedrooms are similarly designed to provide comfort and tranquility.

Challenges Overcome

The project required careful coordination with multiple suppliers to source and install high-quality materials. The tight timeline presented a significant challenge, which was addressed through efficient collaboration with contractors. A notable technical challenge involved the installation of a lift, requiring structural modifications to the existing I-beam, which was successfully executed within the project’s constraints.

The villa's key features include a lift, which enhances both accessibility and luxury. Custom-made furniture and exotic marble wall cladding further distinguish the villa’s interiors, aligning with the client’s vision of modern elegance.

Technical Elements

The villa incorporates a double-height space highlighted by a custom-designed chandelier with varying crystal sizes, adding a dynamic visual element. The lift, finished in bronze with integrated LED lighting, serves as both a functional and aesthetic enhancement to the villa.

Material Selection

The material palette includes Arabesque marble, Oyster Green marble, and champagnecolored profiles, chosen for their quality and visual appeal.

Furniture Chosen

Italian branded furniture was selected for its craftsmanship and design, complementing the villa’s luxurious yet minimalist aesthetic.
