The proposal made for Casa en Ladera responds to the needs of a young family of 5 members attracted by the qualities of the place in relation to the climate, scenic beauty, context, and the panoramic views to the northwest. The idea was to generate a project approach of contextual resilience, highlighting:
Program adaptable to topography (stepped)
Open and organized spaces inside the land (patios, non-compact scheme)
These considerations allow the house to be configured in separate volumes that are integrated by a continuous and linear staircase that adapts geometrically as it ascends, changing its materiality depending on the area in which it is located, and varying its scale to accentuate its articulating role.
The sloping central patio also takes on prominence in the daily dynamics of use. Different spaces look at it and at the same time it allows alternative ways of going up and exploring the spaces.
