The construction projects at Mühlfeldgasse 15 and 16 and Holzhausergasse 1 were commissions from ÖBB Infrastruktur AG as part of a residential construction programme. The aim was to convert and renovate the Gründerzeit houses, consisting of a basement, ground floor and four storeys. The aim was to create affordable and at the same time modern flats.

In order to increase the number of residential parties, the 19 flats in the existing building were converted into 25 flats. Furthermore, three vacant premises on the ground floor were renovated. In the course of the renovation, large living areas were changed by new floor plan solutions and adapted to today's living conditions.

The flats of different sizes with 1-4 rooms offer a balcony to the inner courtyard, if their location allows it. As part of the general renovation of the facades, old windows were replaced to create a uniform, harmonious overall appearance. Additional shading elements were attached to the windows to provide external sun protection.
