At Nùma, each project begins with a deep reflection on the identity of a place and its role within the community. The Maison des Habitants des Eyquems deserved a transformation that would honor the existing structure while adapting it to new uses.
The idea of a "green bubble" quickly became an obvious solution. A 100 m² extension complements the verticality of the building, creating more fluid and comfortable spaces. Inside, circulation flows have been redesigned to enhance the reception areas and the overall versatility of the site: a new annex town hall space, a multi-purpose room, and an interior garden conceived as a true green lung for workshops and community gatherings.

The existing building is reimagined with large, bright rooms that can adapt to different activities, and integrated technical islands designed to optimize user comfort. Every space opens onto the outdoors, encouraging interaction and well-being.

The redesigned entrance becomes a true identity marker: a landscaped esplanade, rest areas, contemporary furnishings, and lush vegetation that reflect the spirit of the site.
The extension, with its perforated wooden façade, engages in a subtle dialogue with the original architecture, respecting its history while expressing a contemporary vision.
