The Docklands is a contemporary reinterpretation of the history of a distinctive building on the IJ waterfront. With this design, Firm Architects has created a bridge between the maritime past of the location and the dynamic character of the modern city.

Inspired by the rich history of the Amsterdam harbor, the design subtly reflects elements from the industrial and nautical world. A floor that appears to mirror the water, refined detailing, and a clean architectural rhythm all subtly reference the era of shipping and dockside activity.
