The interior design studio has crafted a space where tactile materials and neutral tones take center stage. Every element has been thoughtfully conceived to blend seamlessly with the surroundings without overpowering them, allowing the materials themselves to define and fill the space.
Walls and ceilings are coated in hand-applied sand-colored lime plaster, offering a robust, textured surface that adds depth and subtle chromatic variations. The same hue was deliberately selected for the microcement flooring, creating a cohesive “box effect.” Birch wood, chosen for its natural yet dynamic grain, harmonizes with mocha-colored matte lacquered finishes, striking a refined balance between warmth and modernity. Touches of blue, introduced through lacquered metal and plexiglass accents, add a fresh and dynamic twist to the palette.
The “sail” motif, symbolizing a connection to the sea, is a recurring theme throughout the project. This shape is reflected in design details such as the sculptural wall sconces, the flush door handles, and the mounting brackets for shelving and hanging rails, ensuring stylistic continuity and a strong visual identity.
Raw linen fabrics, used for the fitting room curtains and upholstered seating, emphasize the tactile nature of the design, adding a dimension that celebrates the authenticity of the materials. Subtle details, like window displays crafted from mesh fabric and matte lacquers, define the environment with a minimalist yet contemporary language.
The concept developed by Moitié Studio for Times is a celebration of a new kind of elegance—one that highlights simplicity and the expressive strength of materials.
