Founded in 2011 by Nupur Shah and Saahil Parikh, We Design Studio is a boutique award-winning architectural and interior design firm based in Mumbai, India. Working on holistic and highly customised design solutions for residential and commercial projects, the studio has an ascetic approach, focusing on creating deceptively simple solutions that are seamless in experience and expression.
The studio has an abiding interest in austerity and simplicity, and believes in building with restraint, order, and control. The team aims to develop a purpose-driven, bottom-up product that seamlessly integrates with its environment, enhancing the lives of its users.
Working on a limited number of projects each year, We Design Studio is committed to excellence and focused on individual artistic expression. The principal architects are engaged in every project from start to finish, fostering a strong feedback loop with each client through several one-on-one interactions. Nupur and Saahil share a strong passion for using sustainable and customised design as a tool to shape the built fabric around. Their interest is in exploring the tactile properties of materials and use them to develop a contemporary aesthetic informed by local building techniques.
